Don't take this as thread bashing (whatever you want to call it) but what isn't going up in price every year? (Apart from our wages :p )

Do they not increase it every year anyway, or maybe every 2 years?

Unfortunately switching providers isn't a solution either as, as well as no Sky+ equivalent and less channels, they pass on the increased costs too! :(

It's been no length since the last hike. Mine is now €81.00

if people are unhappy then all you can do is tell them by cancelling or reducing your packages

a suggestion if you are tired of paying the increases and can live without sky sports (altough I know most cant). cancel and get a uk ftv card like I have done. its great and suits me fine I dont miss paying sky the extra money every month. also they are so desperate for your business that every few months they will send you half price reconnection offers. just got offered sky sports for a euro a month for 2 months including family pack or the full package for half price for 6 months if I came back.

Funny enough, my aunt cancelled sky and she was left with the varity and kids mix.
    Which has rte etc.

    Error by sky??

My letter was bit confusing. It told me that without our multiroom sub, it;s going to be now €55.50. Then, further down the letter, it explains that the price in August may be a little higher for the reason you pay in advance, so it'll be 69.92 in Aug, but €70.50 in September? WTF? Why bother charging extera in august, you cheap scabs!

A six month Digital Alb card for little more than what some people pay for a months subscription to sky, that'll do me nicey :)

I have Sky now, but I only wanted it for RTE. As part of an introductory package I get Sky World for the first three months. My god, there is so much rubbish and so little content out there. I'd love to cancel it and keep RTE, like somebody's aunt managed to do.
