I don't do it myself but there's nothing wrong with it that I can see.

If i'm in a hotel thats pissed me off somehow, or maybe if the waters too cold!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 697 ✭✭✭the Shades

It's totally revolting why wash your feet in urine?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,688 ✭✭✭grimloch

    I presume you:

    a) aim for the hole and

    b) there's water running over it constantly so it's not like you're washing in the stuff.

The OP didn't mention peeing during a shower. Perhaps he means standing outside and urinating into the shower tray. :D

    This isn't really going anywhere.

your feet are glued to the shower basin while you shower?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,061 ✭✭✭✭Terry

how not to piss in the shower:

    1. turn the shower on before getting in. the running water will make you want to piss. use this opportunity to use the toilet.

    2. just hold it in.

oh so you magically levitate while showering?

and if it's ok to pee in the shower how would you all feel to be washing in there after the person before you peed all over the place?

I do it, and cant really see any hygiene risks, you pee for a few seconds, yet you shower for anything from 5-15minutes, the pee will be washed down by then! and all the shower gel/shampoo etc... and cant see why you WOULDNT pee in the shower tbh. :D

    Urine is sterile.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,566 ✭✭✭GrumPy

This has been asked before, and is answered by the fact that most of the people that pee in the toilet, would not however stand in urinals :) (and then endlessly argue that its somehow different)

If I was standing on part of the urinal that never gets pee on it and a urinal that had water constantly running over it I don't think I'd have a problem peeing in a urinal.

The worst one is when you forget that you're in the bath, and not the shower, but go ahead and pee anyway!

    Hey I was three!*

Performance reasons apparently... (see feedback forum)
Personally I think they're just doing it so we'll subscribe. ;)
It's sad really, aside from the inconvenience, I think it's made boards.ie that little bit less usefull :/

Pffft, the drain hole is right at your feet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,337 ✭✭✭moneyman

Yes all the time. In fact, this inspired me to take it to a new level. Anyone else ever take a dump in the shower?

    That.
Nothng wrong with it, I just use the toilet which is conveniantly beside the bath, as if for the very purpose I use it for.

No I was thinking just leave it there. You should try it.

Nah, it would block the drain and by pee wouldn't go down.

eeew no peeing in the shower is disgusting!! and the results of that poll kind of surprised me, yuk!! :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,225 ✭✭✭Ciaran500

    Whats so disgusting about it?

Disgusting? Historically people would wash using urine (as water is more "dirty" than urine, being a sterile substance).

Jellyfish stings can also be numbed by urine (although that might be more to do with the pH balance rather its sterility...)

Peeing in the toilet from the shower?

I've heard it also alleviates mosqiuto bites!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 804 ✭✭✭BMH

No, peeing down the shower drain, while in the shower.(eg, you're 5 minutes inot a shower, all wet, don't want to bother getting out and back in again to use the loo so you...)

I think that's what you meant anyway.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,089 ✭✭✭fuzzywiggle

Yes! It feels lovely and warm

Oh and the poll is lacking a "Only at home" option (and maybe a "Only at home and hotels" one too...)

    it's lacking "atari jaguar" tbh

    it's a "disgusting" from me...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,110 ✭✭✭Thirdfox

Why disgusting? There's only a small difference between urine and sweat (the urea I think).

Btw faeces is very dirty and not to be considered in the same category with urine.

*edit: some cultures even have people drinking urine (not really advisable as it is a poison... hence the expelling from the body and sterility.)

Yes! It feels lovely and warm
