Perhaps something to do with an overall fail meaning a supplemental of everything, or if the average result was a pass and just a required subject needs to be re-sat.

I've no idea when it comes to other courses than my own.

The page you linked to doesn't say 'resit biology', so you might want to clear that up first...

But in general, where a subject is specified, that is the only resit required - i.e. the regulations for that course (which are specific, not College-wide) allow a single resit in particular cases (for example, some say that if you get an overall mark of over 30 and fail one subject you can resit that one alone, but if you get overall under 30 you have to resit the lot). If subject(s) aren't specified on your result sheet, then contact your tutor to check what you are required to resit - it might be everything or just a number of subjects. You don't need to register for resits/supplementals...you are automatically registered for what you need to take. On the other hand, they won't send you a timteble or a list of what you're registered for, so do get to your tutor reasonably sharpish if you have doubts.

Why the fake title? Your not gonna get meaningful responses trying to trick people into viewing your posts.
