Those HB ads that are on before and after the Simpsons on RTE2.....is that David Norris doing the voiceover and if not, why do they have someone impersonating him doing it? Bizarre!

I dont know about HB, but hes deffo in a Tesco ad. How odd! Bit unusual for a senator to be doing this, not that its any harm. I wonder who the target audience is???!!

    Sounds really like him.

Think it's him on the Fruit Pastilles ad too...the one with the troll.

Wild stab in the dark perhaps, but "people who like ice cream"?

...or perhaps it's the fact that he's got a fairly distinctive and noticeable voice that makes him an ideal choice for voiceovers on promotional material. It's obviously stuck in your mind if you're discussing it in an online forum...

:D I had thought of that. But you know how Addidas sponsor David Beckham to appeal to football fans, Jane Seymour was used to appeal to greying mothers... who is HB's target audience if they are using David Norris for a voiceover?! I honestly dont know... Late night viewers of Oireachtas report?! Im just saying hes a strange choice... or maybe thats their strategy to make you think about it. Ah, HB, always one step ahead

    Yep, it is him.

He wasnt used because hes a senator, he was used because he posseses a really distinctive/amusing (in the nicest possible way) voice. His voice suggests irreverence and whimsy, which is entirely appropriate for spots which are for comedy on RTE.

I always thought that sounded like David Kelly.
