Here are a couple of shots I finally got round to - they were taken a couple weeks ago and I am not sure about the post processing - any hints to improve the post processing would be appreciated.

They are not pretty pictures and I am more interested at this point (for these shots) in the post processing than the composition, etc.

the colour of both really suit the images.

I love the first one ,the colour and softness are great to the eyes

    Interesting stuff .

Both are really good, but my favourite is the first one. I like the way you have composed it and also the way the warmness of most of the shot contrasts well with the burnt out starkness of his head.Very well done,I like it alot.

I think the treatment of the second one works perfectly, it looks even mmore metallic than normal bw. The first one looks good, but for the subject I'd like to see something dark and harsh and kind of screwed up, if you know what I mean. Maybe a blue or green tone, even. I saw that bloke on Grafton street and he just annoyed me... well done for making a decent picture out of him, hehe

Cheers for that I didnt think that they were great subjects to photograph - just something a bit unusual and distinctive looking. Both just stood there all made up and motionlesss - the classical musicians further up were a lot more entertaining but not as photogenic. (It always helps when the subject doesnt move too much hehe)

I was trying to get the wizard one to be a bit more smooth/almost-sepia type look but without using the ps default action for it as it seems to go too far.

The other one I was just aiming for rich dark colouring - not really sure how to treat that one to be honest. Thanks all for the comments.

Loved the first one lots, what processing did you do on it? Diffuse Glow?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,273 ✭✭✭Morlar

There is some diffuse glow to bring out kojaks head - along with about 10 or so other steps including downloaded actions from here :

    http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/applications/psactions/

and other non dev art ones too.
Also the usual other stuff, cropping, saturation levels, contrast, shadow/highlight exposure and so on. The wizard one had a lot less done to it.
