Silly driving licence question

Ok so I passed my driving test about 2 years ago. Due to various silly things, I havent driven since the day of my test.

Is there any stupid clause that states "if you dont drive for x amount of time you'll have to retake your test", or is that just if you wait a period after your licence expires.

I've another 8 years on my licence, but if I dont drive, can it be made null/void?

    Thanks.

No, your licence stands. They cannot make you re-sit the test just because you have not driven since your test day.

Ok I got my provisional on my birthday and I haven't used it once. They can't prove that you haven't driven. You say your licence is for 10 years, that means that it is valid for the 10 years regardless if you drive or not. So your grand.

And not just that, but you can renew it in 8 years time and again in 10 more and ...

As the others have said, you're fine. No retest for not driving for X years. If you did have insurance, your NCB would expire after 2 years though.

And if you do let your licence expire, you do have to re-apply for test if it has lapsed. I thought this was a couple of months, but you have 10 years in which to apply for a full licence after it has lapsed before you go through the whole theory, provisional, driving test, full licence thing.

Your certificate of competency expires after 2 years but your full licence is good for life as long as you renew it every second decade or so.
