Three from the horse tracker today.

fade's Polar Force is out in Newmarket for the 2.40 race, and should be a massive price because it's up against it. I don't think it has a chance today, but it owes me nothing and a small e/w to keep the race interesting won't hurt. nowhere A super win by Zidane.

Hula Ballew is running at Ayr. I missed this last time out when it won, as I wasn't online and didn't realise it was running (we need a horse tracker sms service!) so it will lose today of course. Superb runs in it's last 5 races so I don't really need to sum up this horses chances. The form is super, but the fact that she's entered in two very competitive races in 4 days time raises some questions as to whether she will be pushed for victory in today's class 2.

Finally, we have Borderlescott in Ascot. Look at the form of this animal for yourself, because it's a lovely sight. Does going matter? No. Does today's distance matter? No. A great value for money e/w bet. 4th @ 14/1

It is often easy to overlook the other races when we have the big meetings to enjoy, but I think it is worth having a glance at the card for the Ulster Derby (Down Roayl - 3:50)

I reckon that Kempes has a good shout at this, and is worth taking at around 7/2 (betfair). Very impressive last year as a juvinile, and out of a total of 5 starts, he came 2nd twice, and won the last 3. Smullen is on board who seems to partner this horse well, and the firm ground is a bonus. The favourite in this race is Callow lake, and while it has a good shout, his inconsistency puts me off, and I am going to oppose him.

Four from the horse tracker today.

Firstly, Bollin Thomas runs in the 2.20 at Hexham. I'm a jinx with this horse. I missed it when it won at 8/1 on May 1st, and I'm determined to follow it until it wins at a nice price again. It was second last time out but I didn't back it because of the price. It's top weight today and it has to beat Dune Raider who is also top weight with it. This is a big ask, and I expect these two to be in the top two. I might do my usual cover-my-ass forecast on Dune Raider 1st Bollin Thomas 2nd as well. Bollin Thomas won a class 3 last August in Epsom, so it's capable of winning today. Both distance and going are not a problem either. If it wins today I will be delighted for it.

    is this on

sjones, an IT tip, since my racing tips are naff! setup email for you mobile phone, then use that email address for the tracker site, then have sms alerts to emails set on the respective providers home page & you receive a text & be able to see who its from, prompting you to log in & check that day, i've been doing it for ages & ages.

A great idea, but my phone doesn't have email - it's that old! :( I'll do so once I get a decent phone, cheers buddy.

4:10 Redcar: Our Sheila, 9-4 on Paddy Power, everything I have read today states this as it's NAP. Having Shocker with Ascot, so hopefully this one wins.
