Well, seeing as the Rugby is about to start, though I would post up my picks for today. As usual based on little more than watching ATR, reading a few forums, buying the paper and a very slim horsetracker.

I have put on a few small yet ridiculous e/w accumulators also, given that I think some high odd horses can place today .. but I won't trouble anyone with those.

    2.30

    Always Fruitful to win

    3.05

    Mountain High to win
    Collier Hill to place

    3.45

Forecast with Takeover Target and Glamour Puss
    Pivotal point e/w

4.25 - Quarter odds on five places

    Intrepid Jack e/w
    Beaver Patrol e/w

    4.55

    Thunder Rock to win
    Obrigado to place

And I'll pass on the 5.30

    Gluck to all,

    JAK

Best of luck to ya Jak!

2.30 Always Fruitful a Johnston 2yo. Has showed lovely signs of improvement and is well capable of beating these.

3.05 I was originally going to go for the godolphin horse here. They have to get an Ascot winner, but Mountain High is very appealing. Really has shown solid improvement this year in comparison to the end of last season and should be in the placings. 2nd

3.45 Takeover Target ran a cracker on the opening day here and is going for the double today. Preference is for a Quito e/w bet.

4.25 Borderlescott 4th - already explained in the Elsewhere on Saturday thread

4.55 Alfie Noakes nowhere G'wan the Young Mick!

    5.30 Dancing Bay nowhere

I think 3/1 (betfair) is great value for Takeover Target, in the 3:45 at Royal Ascot. This is a cracking horse. He looked great the other day, and although there is a worry that he has not ran twice in five days before, I think will take all the beating today. In the same race, I'm also going to take 2/1 for Gift horse to be placed (betfair). While Fallon has a bit to do to beat Spenser as top jockey at ascot, I would not rule him out, and gift horse has as good a chance as most.

    2:30 Always Fruitful
3:05 Maraahel - (wouldn't be at all confident)
3:45 Takeover Target (deserting Quito for first time in years becuase of draw, might back him to place just in case)
    4:25 Firenze
    4:55 Glistening
    5:30 Ebtikaar NAP

I'm an idiot, was looking at the 2:30 race and found a formline between Champlain and Always Fruitful involving Hellvelyn and Jo'Burg which made Champlain 2lb better off, I somehow got them the wrong way around and backed Always Fruitful instead, it was only when the race started I realised what I'd done.

Damn that does suck. Champlain won it very impressively, Always Fruitful was never in it.

    Banned for personal abuse.

    Unlucky.

In the 4:25 I like the look of Kostar at 14/1. He's not highly raced, is in here on a low weight, drawn ok in 12 and in his two runs this year, he was 2nd to Les Arcs in January and then won a 7f handicap at Lingfield in May, the same one that Iffraaj won last year before coming here to win this race. 7th

I'm also having a tiny e/w on Just James at a big price because even though his form has been terrible for a long time, I'm sure his trainer, Dandy Nicholls, is planning to target some handicap with him this year and you never know, it might be today. (Unlikely though, I'll admit.) 11th

Some kick alright, in a moment of madness stuck a tenner each way on him at 14/1. Never back each way, so confused by how much I win, if anyone can help me out with it much appreciated. Paddy Power calc came up with 195.

Going go for Dancing Bay in the 5.30.

Too many "fairy tale" winners for me today.

Think I'll just sub to the Crumbs system.
