    Hello,

I managed to attain a large 30inch by 20inch photo from http://www.photobox.co.uk/ using the code JUNE2006POSTER for less than 12euro.

What I did was make a big picture with 50-60 mini photos within it, using Picasa... look it up, you can make great amalgams using that and use something like paintshoppro to make it the rightsize (canvas size), followed by copy and paste. It really is excellent value. I got one delivered today and am very impressed. Mentioned originaly on http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/

made it blank and white and pixelatted it, as dont really wanna show u 60-70 choice snaps of me and the missus,,, but thats the right size!

basically used 48 phtots to make a 'picture collage" in picasa ... then edited the picutre in paint shop pro X (canvas size) to make extra wide and throw extra pics in... (doubles of a few pix)

btw mines a bit ****, just threw it together to see how she lukd, but am well impressed so might bother my ass making a few tasty ones :) I can imagine a few images I wouldn't mind being 20x30inches...

photos glossy and on fuji photographic paper... high quality

    Hi Chump, cool idea.
I was just wondering, what paper do they print it on. Standard copier paper or a glossy type? If its glossy I'm next in the queue! :D
I have a designjet 500 for printing large drawings and the like on standard sheets but if photobucket send the image on glossy paper or similar I think thats a bargain price.

    Cheap poster sized prints here:
    http://www.foto.com/ireland/poster.asp

    17.5 X 11.75 €4.99
    23.5 X 15.5 €5.99
    29.25 X 19.5 €6.99
    postage €3.99

I've never ordered a poster off these guys, but their 6x4's are dead cheap and always arrive in 2 days.

I got a couple of the mid sized posters printed with them last week of panoramas assembled into single images. Print quality is excellent.

I'd asked them in advance about the paper, and they use heavy Kodak paper, though I can't remember which one exactly. They use Fuji Cristal for the smaller prints - the Kodak is heavier. Delivery was about 5 working days from Belgium, and total cost for the two plus postage was just under €16

The only drawback is that they have a file size limit of 5Mb, which is fine for normal images, but the composited images get big! I had to reduce the JPEG quality a bit more than I'd have liked to bring them in at a suitable size. That said, the final print looked fine, there were no visible artifacts or banding.
