Bought the new DS Lite today.
    Delighted with it.
But then I couldnt connect to my wifi network at home! ARGH
Dying to play my mates in mario kart.
It says my network security settings are not supported. I use WPA authentication on my network. Has anyone else had this problem and got around it? Im well pi$$ed off.
I have far too many devices on my network at the moment to go changing the settings, whatever about pcs, my printer and airport express etc are not fun to change settings for. GRR

Then you're out of luck. Your DS will see the signal, but if you try to access it you'll be told that the system doesn't support that form of encryption. You'll need to switch to WEP... or buy the adapter.

    I don't think it's crazy expensive, but I also don't think it's out yet.

Ah the adaptor. I would have bought one only they were out of stock and then the lad in Gamestop told me I didnt need one so I went home. GRR, If its not too expensive Ill get one I guess, just to save the hassle of trying to reconfig everything else on my network.

    Thanks guys

Can you change to WEP for the time being; until you get the dongle?

I have mine set at WEP and it's fine...

    Right.

    Bought a ds lite.
Brought it home with some wifi games.
I got a netopia 3347w wireless modem (the one eircom gives out).
Two laptops connect to it effortlessly. My DS dosen't even notice the network.
I have uPnP enabled and the security protocol WEP is enabled (I think...)

Any takers as to why this is going wrong?

There was a huge discussion about this in another thread , heres the link~ http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054854398&page=3
read my post near the bottom and it will help you !! :D Basicly , the netopia 3347w is not compatable with the ds but the netopia 3347NWG is !! read the post !!But theres no eircom router that works 100% with the ds , i had to go out and buy the nintendo wifi connector. :D

I seem to have a completely different problem but didn't seem like there's much point starting a new thread....

Got my DS Lite, got New Mario, tried to do game sharing with my old DS Phat, and get a communication error while it's downloading.

Now I haven't got any other Wi-Fi games here to test with and I haven't used wi-fi on either of them, so how can I work out what the problem is?
