Count me in for all my coppers...or a tenner which ever is greater.

If I make it in, I'm on for this. I've noticed lately from the Antesup reports that the money is going to the deepest player who doesn't cash. Might be a good idea, as I'd say a boardster gets to the final table every week in the scalps.

BTW pppspecial, you should probably post this in the sub-forum.

Im not very supersticious but im not doing last longer bets anymore. tbh my mind is on other players still in the bet as much as it is on the poker at hand!.

Id suggest 1 prize as 2nd and 3rd gets messy and you usually wont drum up any more than a handful of participants anyway.

I think I 'won' this. Gholi was still in and if he bubbles I owe him 60 quid. I finished 11th so he had 1 more chance to claim the consolation.

got to FT below avrage stack but that god we had Nick(he works in there) on our table as chip lead who was in donating mood.
i made won a couple pots with set and then TT and then i was deep enough to move Nick from his A9 with my A2 on A high board.the lad was the best example of how to blow a big chip lead in the FT.no offence to him and he was a sound chap but his game sucked.
eventually we got 3 handed me,and two other ladys there who could both play.
4 am in the chips are even enough and we are all deep so we decided to split 3ways.
    we got 1600 each.
    not bad for 110 investment.
oh oh oh almpost forgot + my 7scalps.

Gholi - this was a bad deal. From your posts you should be a big fav over 2 ladies in the fitz playing shorthanded. This is the spot where you can maximise your edge over other places, 3 handed you can run rings around tight average players. If you arent confident of this then you should get the practice because a large part of any good tournament player is being able to regularly destroy the end part of tournaments

HJ it wasnt a matter of confidence at all.
in fact i even had a small chip lead over two of them.
short handed i would like to think i could have won it or at least get HU(and then win it) .i was really really tired.it could possibly have been there for another 1 or even more and i really didnt have the energy.

Surely you would be prepared for a long night once you step foot in the fitz? As for the deal it doesn't seem too good at all. I have only ever done a deal when I am a tiny shortstack and I get the same amount as the CL.

nice one gholi wp m8...deal was your call....the old ladys on my table said he would blow all the chips, they were right!:D

I bowed out in 16th...had 11k and blinds were 800/1600..went all in with Q9s on button...ran into AK! That was that.....have to say it was enjoyable nite....played ok and got the furthest in my 4th Scalps event....83 runners I thin wp m8k

That guy ( Nick a dealer in Fitz ) had like 90k in chips on Gholi's table out of 320k with 20 players left!

What seat were you in Ray on table 2? I was in seat 6 for the last couple of hours until I got knocked out.

Gholi, I presume the 2 ladies you mean are Chris Green and Jenny (Willow's mother). While both are no mugs they should have been easily outplayable, as Jenny is a rock and Chris is very aggressive at that stage of the tournament and likes calling bets too. However if you were very tired I understand this deal as ye were all getting more than second place.

wp anyhow, pity I was only on your table for the first 15 mins as I haven't played against you enough directly.

yip thats who i mean.when it got 3 handed i had played long enough with the two of them to know their habits and what not and as i said chip wise i was deffo ahead of chris and prob ahead of Jenny as well but i was just shatterd and happy with the 1600.
i would like to think i could take it down against thoes opponents .

Rory you have no idea how much of Luck box he was last nite.ive never seen the like before.
when i arrived at this table he was bossing the table with 46,78 ,82,any two suited and he was hitting .he had about 7 scalps.
he would call an all in bet for 15BB with 84 suited and hit .
he was on 50K when the next person after him was about 20K maybe.
    he blew it though.
in the final table he got the stack back again and he had maybe about 130K but he went out in 5th or 6th.:D

Happens to us all, something similiar with me too. folded KT to a raise, would have won vs AQ and AK. Next hand open pushed with KT got called by AT and lost. Excrement occurs.

mmm I live on good variance....

and most of the time that I was calling with muck cards was cause I was pretty sure that it was a 60-40 shot (ie 2 unders to non pair)....the only time I got it wrong was against kevin farelly with my 6-4s vs his JJ...he won that one...

*shrug*...yeah I did blow the final table but up till the final table I was reasonably happy with how I played, I did have some luck, but I did get unlucky too on a few occasions, mostly people didn't see them because I folded without showing...

    Nic,
dont take this personal man as i think your great craic man but some the calls and plays you made were very questionalble to say the least.
with the stack you had you should have took it down with out a problem but you blew it.
twice against Kevin you made some shall we say funny calls .
on the bubble and in the FT you kept doubling ppl up calling big raises with bad cards etc.
your style can be very effective if you were only picked your spots better and were a bit more selective and less obviouse about your aggession.
i played four pots with you and i won them all and all of them were for big pots and every time i had less than perimium hands(55,A2,K9) and the reason was that you played the same way all the time.
anyways it was nice meeting you man andi hope we meet in another FT again.

i played four pots with you and i won them all and all of them were for big pots and every time i had less than perimium hands(55,A2,K9) and the reason was

firstly against kevin, there was 2 pots, the first time (my 6-4s vs his JJ) I didn't think he had a pair, I was wrong, secondly, yeah I got lucky hitting a 6 outer against him, I thought I had live ones, and I did...meh - played for and got...

against you - 5 pots not 4...I did win one...and 2 of the pots against me you would have lost cept for the fact that I folded....I folded KK to your 55 on an ace high board...I would have re-re-raised you pre flop cept for the fact that I put you on a rag ace (didn't think you'd fold cause of how aggressivly I'd been playing) and when an ace hit and you bet, I have to fold cause of what I put you on....with the A-2 hand, thats the one that completely ****ed me up on the final table...after that I stopped careing and was just throwing it in, I did care but I was just tilting big time cause it was the second time you'd shown me that you'd bluffed me off the pot, for big pots...meh...

and yeah, I did double a few people up...but that was cause they were going in with under 10k and I thought I had live ones with a stack of over 80k...I started the final table with 66k and, after the first 3 rounds, had 140k....and had doubled people up 4 or 5 times...but then again, I should have only had 105k cause yer wan should have folded her 10-10 on the qqj8 board.....

I know it was my tourney to win and I buggered it all up by playing too aggresivly...I said that to a few people downstairs as I was collecting my prize - but I wasn't aiming for second, I wanted it all - and, if I played it slightly differently (called with my KK or A-9 against you, or called in a few other places) I think I might have won it, but when I get raised on an A-picture-something else board, most of the time A-9 is not good - so I think I made the right move, even if I was ahead that time....) ...

I was reasonably happy with my play up till the final 6 - once it got to there, and you showed me the A-2 - then I ****ed it up royal...but meh, I'm over it....I can still see it as a 1500+ week and learn from my mistakes...and I will...

and while normally I don't like to gamble as much as I did, I knew that once we were down to 20 people that I was gonna make it to the money I had some fun cause I felt like it - I gambled a hell of a lot, and got a lot of chips, then I lost it, then I got em back again, then I lost it all - I could and should have played it slightly differently, but, overall, I don't think I played all that badly. And 5th, while disappointing, was really what I deserved for some of the stupid plays...

and btw...well done, you really did outplay me on all of the pots we played against each other and you got what you deserved (a good pay day) but I reckon I would have played it out against chris or yer wan who was ****e - but prolly with some business cause 3rd place was still ****e for that amount of time....

    Nic

ps I'm drunk atm so please excuse the typo's and the repetition and all that malarchy....

oh and one more thing....yeah this is one of the things I'm working on atm...I do like to play the very aggressive game, its the aspect of poker I like the most. there's nothing better then steamrolling a table for a while...I find it great fun....but I am really really trying to work on changing gear - I know I'm not good at changing it but I'm working on it and I know I'm getting better at it - and as long as I know I'm improving, thats all that matters....and anyway...I like the image I have in the fitz...it means I get paid off very very regularly...

Lets hear it for the guy who had a huge stack, and blew it all!

    </pepsi ad>

I dunno.... I know we analyse things here a lot but as I was walking away from a sick beat in the 20 game, Nic was running the show at his table and sounded like he was having a blast (at least *he* was, my table had gotten a few refugees from his table who were glad to get away from it!)
As I was walking away I was thinking, sometimes poker should just be about having a laugh and playing goofy. Ok, Nic *often* plays goofy but you know what I mean :)

    Nice run this week Nic!

    DeV.
