DS Lite no shows

Yo,

A mate went into HMV Grafton st today to get a DS Lite and was told that they hadn't been delivered. They said it'd be Monday or Tuesday before they had anything (and they didn't sound hopeful at that).

:mad: I ordered a DS lite USB charger off the net but that won't be here till next week. So I was hoping that the shops here would get replacement chargers in with their DS lite stocks. Doesn't look like it now. No gaming for Quad

I think my mate pre-ordered one. I already got one in America. But I'm scuppered till I get a power source that will work here (I've already got a step down transformer off boards and that didn't work so I need a UK/IRL DS Lite specific charger).

Nintendo made thinks f*cking awkward by using a different power jack on the DS Lite as opposed to the DS.

If anyone sees DS Lite power cables on sale in Dublin will ya let me know?

Girlfriend picked up a black ds lite for me in GAME on Dawsons St for me this morning. Had it preordered as a white and they didn't mind swapping colours.

I know this sounds silly - but does anyone have a number for a Game store in Dublin? Or Mr. Calculator?

Gamestop are clowns as well. Spent ages trying to sell me a DS charger yesterday. I told them the power jacks are different. But yer man insisted they were identical.

I had one preordered in HMV grafton street aswell. I just went to Smyths and got one there instead.

No. According to the guy in Toys'r'us in America (who seemed to know ALOT), screen protectors are the same (cos the screens are the same size).

The power jack is different though.

Are you sure about this? I think he's bull****ing you. I rang Henry Street and they said they weren't selling any till later today because they hadn't the travel pack to bundle with the console in stock. I rang Grafton Street too. No store mentioned any problems with deliveries.

Blanchardstown told me they had 14 available and no one had asked about even one. That was a half hour ago. There'll be a full launch report on Irishgamer this evening.

Edit: are you talking about chargers or the console itself? Just read the rest of the posts.

Er: Well, my mate went into the basement games place in the Grafton st HMV and he said that's what they told him.

But it's the charger I'm after. And I called them about that (I had pre ordered an extra charger with them on Tuesday. They said it'd be in Friday).

The guy said they had got an email saying that they wouldn't be getting the DS 'stuff' (not sure if 'stuff' includes the consoles) till Monday or Tuesday.

Game on Dawson St have chargers. Initially quoted €22.99 :eek: on the phone but when I asked them to check they said they were €12.99.
