Wharfedale LCD TV

    Hi all.

Need a 2nd tv for the dining room/kitchen, and am wondering if S should just get a cheap 4:3 21", around €140, or a 28" WS CRT (Walker €319) or wait till LCDs come down even further. In that case I could probably even get the 4:3 one for €140 now anyway, it wont go to waste if and when I get a dearer LCD.

But also saw a Wharfedale 23" WS LCD in Argos. It was €609 but is now €509.

Does anyone know anything about that make or that TV?

    Thanks

    k

I think the Wharfedale's may be Beko/Vestel rebrands. Would be hard to know in the long term how good they are.

Personally, I'd say you'd be better spending the extra money on a good brand name like Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, etc.

I agree with you in principle, but anyway I bought a cheap Wharfedale 4:3 for €135. Didnt break the bank and will serve a purpose in the kitchen (mainly when Im going from the sitting room to make tea during a match....!) so its grand.

Just thought €509 for a 23" LCD was good, but sure by the time I do decide to get one they'll all be cheaper!
