Any one know how long on average stuff from play.com ( not asia ) takes to get here , I have stuff that was shipped on the 17th that isnt here. 5 days to get 200 miles is a little silly ! I could have walked it quicker :)

It varies. One or two of my orders have taken 1-2 months (Just down to postal service). Yours has only been 4 working days. It'll be late next week at the earliest tbh.

Well, first off that's nothing to do with play.com whatsoever.

Normally takes 3 days, but depends. Once it took 2 weeks.

Yeah unfortunately over the last 6-8 months anything I've ordered from them has taken a long timne due to An "crap" post!!!!

Yeah same here. Last year my stuff was coming a lot faster for some reason, not sure whether its An Post or play.com..

Where ever the blame for postage speed lies either holding it at the UK end until a full container is obtained ( so says my postie ) or at the Irish end cos they have a poor ass postal system, it p**ses me off !!!!

Anything over 4/5 days delivery is a joke.

    Heres is my break down.

Day 1.) Posted in the morning taken to the local depot
Day 2.) Taken to the dispatch point , such as an airport , ferry terminal
Day 3.) Load on a Ferry / Plane and dropped in Ireland
Day 4.) Sent to your local sorting office
Day 5.) Deliver to my door.

Now this is quite generous time scale , so why so long !!!!!!!

I have had stuff from china in under a week !!!!

Im gonna stop typing before this turns into a serious rant and I start swearing like a pirate !!!!

The best I've ever gotten from them is 5 working days.. At the moment it's hovering at around 2 weeks.

2 weeksish is normal for me for play. Im in dublin. Cd-wow maybe a day or two earlier.

I pretty much dont use them if I can avoid it.

bangcd.com has a smaller range but much faster delivery and is generally €1 cheaper.

Only once have I ordered on Sat and it not turned up (from Singapore mind you) the same wednesday. Thats 3 working days. An post can barely manage that for national letters!

I think its An Post, I had a game that was sent from Dublin take almost two weeks to arrive (live just outside Dublin, it was going about 10 miles).

I've also had stuff from the states that I bought on the Friday arrive on the Monday, you just never know.

It makes no sense , how can stuff posted from the othersise of the world arrive before stuff posted locally ? at some point an post must handle it.

I think it's because all the post from the UK goes to a particular place to be sorted... and it's a bit rubbish apparently.

the videogamesplus.ca shipping is not free but very very cheap, and i dont think it goes to the UK very fast, but the company is efficient in email response and their shipping is damn fast from canada, again 3 days.... and Im in the west of ireland, so i presume it comes into a dublin area in 2 days?
