GTA 4 Screenshot?

Not so sure about this one. Some stuff looks kinda legit though like the map, but it looks even more cartoony than the previous games...

Edit:

3 stars and no cops..weird.
Right footpath /kerb looks very flat.
Horizon seems to fade into a flat picture of buildings, but it could just be an early build thing.
The map doesn't seem to correspond with the current position of the character.

Update: Apparently eurogamer are saying it is a hoax.

Just a theory...they might cartoon it up more in the hope that they think there won't be as big an uproar over "cartoony characters" killing prostitutes and the like as opposed to more real like characters

That Photoshop lookin' lense flare at the top left corner looks a bit too fake to me! Damn, if they'd left that out I would have said it was possibly real!

I'd bet my solid gold hamster that it's a fake. And I thought the radar was some sort of barbecue stuck in the middle of the road. lol.

Thats a good point! But I don't think I'd be too crazy about a cartoonier version of gta, I'd like them to really use the new systems. After all WE know its just a game, right?

The creator of the fake Grand Theft Auto IV screenshot is... Imagine Publishing. It's definitely them, because if you received the email from the "disgruntled Rockstar employee" with the fake GTA IV screenshot, have a look in the email header. It was sent from here. If you go to that site, you'll see the mail server the email was sent from is: mail.imagine-publishing.co.uk. Imagine Publishing has many magazines under its name. My guess is they just wanted to create a story to be put in their next issue(s). I just can't believe they're that dumb.

So turns out it was a UK magazine publisher trying to create a story! Pathetic.

Just as paper doesn’t refuse ink, blogs don’t refuse... you get the idea.

If you were to call that journalism, it’s ill-informed, rubbish, and libellous journalism.

The email was sent from the publisher’s servers. That is it. That is the only real fact there. The rest, as it is, is bull****.

How do they know for sure that…

- the server wasn’t accessed remotely
- or an internal computer or remote email account wasn’t used with out (or even with) permission by a real "disgruntled Rockstar employee"

I don’t make a habit of calling people names, but the bit “I just can't believe they're that dumb”, just makes me think ‘I cant believe you are’.
