I think i was on the BB for this hand. I had roughly 300 in front of me.

    I have As4s6c7c.

The flop is 2s4c5s. I check UTG (another boardsie) bets the pot of 25. Two people call and I raise to 100.

    2 callers.

    Turn (350ish)

    4d

I check and UTG pushes. Folded to me.

I'm 99.9% sure that UTG has 36 in his hand. He's folded sets twice already when people have made big raises, so I'm sure he doesn't have a boat.

There's 550ish in the pot and its 200ish for me to call.

    Call or fold?

You're certain he doesn't have a boat then you already know the answer to your question. You have about a gazzillion outs then. However I don't think you can rule out 55 here in which case you have 2 outs.

As said, if you are sure that he has a straight then you have to call. Do you think he is the type to bet into a paired board with someone to act behind him? Maybe he had 36 and also a 4 here which might have prompted him to push, or he may even hold something like 3456 which you are drawing to 6 outs against.

If he has 55 you have 1 out so that wouldn't be good.

easy call, but I don't know why you think he would definitely fold 55 just because he has folded sets in other situations.

    4h or 3s = 2 outs.

    4h or 3s = 2 outs.
I don't see middle straight flush draws when I am hungover.

He has folded top set when there is an obvious straight/flush out

    why not bet the turn?

OK but if he has top set on the flop and he expects there may be four way action from loose players, and maybe he has another draw to go with it? Then a fold would be weak.

maybe he thought that you didnt hit your full house on the turn and that he was just happy with what was in the pot at that stage?

maybe he was drunk and not entirely sure what he was doing? :o

maybe he went on to win a few more hundred? :D

maybe he's no longer the most handsome boardsie in the world but the wicked witch to your snow white?

i'm sure you'll get your own back in spades! :(

    gl!

I dont know what you mean about hindsight, you chk raised the flop because you had a monster hand. The 4 improves your hand, and gives people a chance to fold the straight. If you think 55 is a big part of his range then obv check folding is best, but not check calling. So id either fire ahead on the turn or check fold.

The pots pretty big now so I like to err on the side of aggression.

if it's any consolation I'm reliably informed that he will be spending it on bad women and good liquor!

and if you want a beer it's yours.

    Result:

I called and the Doc had 3667, so had loads of blockers as well as the high-low draw as well. The river was the sickest blank i've ever seen. I should really have pushed the turn after check-raising the flop
