Channeling /// Posession ... how has it affected your religous beliefs?

Just something I was wondering about, I guess more aimed at those people who have channeled spirits, but probably applies to those who have been posessed. I was thinking surely if you have actualy channeled spirits, they must be in some posession of knowledge of the after life, and has this affected your religous beliefs, or have you found that it backed up what you already believed?

Ive never direct channeled or been possessed. But the experiences Ive had have changed my perception and beliefs alright. I dont 'think' theres and afterlife, I 100% believe there is, without a shadow of a doubt. I was raised a catholic, and while I still have great respect for the religion, I dont believe in the doctrine rigdly now.

I remember writing something on this recently in a thread on possession. I described the important spiritual feat that is called, inter alias, Archetype Assumption, which is a kind of deliberately induced possession by a chosen entity. This is an extremely important practice in many systems, and is undertaken for the purposes of spiritual advancement and magickal direction of Will.
