    Hi,

Does anyone have any advice to offer on the Griffith College Photography Cert? I was at the open day last night and am interested in doing the part time course.

    Thanks!

i did it last year and then headed to d.i.t for my degree. the guys there are great but it is tough goin. actually no - i think hector changed the course slightly so it mightnt be as hardcore as when i was there, ....but if its easy, it aint worth your time bothering right?;)

the set up is a matter of opinion. personally i like somewhere with a bit of character and not all clinical so it suited me perfectly.learnt more there than i have seen in my first year of my degree (and also made the technicals in 1st year a sinch)

Did you do the part time or full time course?

the full time seems to include more advanced modules (City & Guilds 6923,6924) than the part time (City & Guilds 6922, 6923). I would be thinking of doing the part time course but would be worried the introduction modules in the first year (City and Guilds 6922) would be too basic

i did the full time course there. cant really remember what 692's we did but i think they might have eased off with the part-time maybe. depends on your level goin in i suppose. we did the whole shabang as far as i can remember (hence me describing it as full on)

From what Hector was telling me last night it is a mix of 6922 and 6923. 6924 seems to be more concerned with digital imagery, photoshop etc., which I don't mind missing too much as I have a fair bit of experience in it anyway.

How much does it cost (the part time course) do you know? Couldn't find a cost on the webpage and GCD havn't replied to my email for info

    I think it's €2000 per year.
