    looking at two house with three friends.
    one has 2 double(with en suites) and two single bedrooms. with a bathroom in the hall
    wat should each room cost? €500 a week for the house

    and one double(with en suite) and one double(with out ensuite) and two singles
    wat should each room cost? €500 a week for the house

    also wat is rent allowance?

    and wat percentage of income after tax should someone be paying for rent, food, and all bills?

    Rent allowance is a form of supplementary welfare.
    and wat percentage of income after tax should someone be paying for rent, food, and all bills?
    It varies but it the order of 40% for the rent element. Look at the polls at the top of the forum to see what people are paying.

    Just to add, rent allowance is additional social welfare as mentioned, but rent relief is tax relief on the rent you pay. Anyone who pays rent can claim rent relief. Check out www.revenue.ie
