Realistically if you are considering bulking up you should look to bulk your entire body. After several months of lifting weights to increase your upper body mass, you will be left with less than admirable legs! Apart from that they will feel inadequate and weak in comparison.

Building bulk is all about diet, tell us what you know about diet and weight lifting - also how tall are you?

My looks at the moment are far bigger than my body, so i have some cathcing up to do! I am 5ft 9", and as for weight lifting, i know a decent enough amount. I know what exercises do what for specific parts of my body, but am wondering if there are many alternatives. As for my diet, at the minute it is mainly a very carbohydrate based diet as i play a lot of sports and need a lot of energy.

Im confused as to what you mean by this?

Also what alternatives are you looking for in relation to lifting weights?

Sorry i meant to say my legs there. Im looking for a new improved way for lifting as the exercises im doing at the moment dont seem to be having the greatest effect on me. So im looking for a few alternatives.

what excercises are you doing now?

When doing the upper body do plenty of back work aswell.

    exceries for upper body:
    becnh press(incline aswell)
    arnold press
    pull up
    seat rows
Lateral raises(i love them, but there might be better excercises)
    shrugs

Also protien. Most important thing fr your diet. THis will help your msucles repair and grow.
