Hey, just wondering if anyone knows how to get from the RDS back in to town on Wednesday night (I may or may not be going to a certain Take That concert....shhh....)...any info on special buses going back in to town, can't find anything on the Ticketmaster site. Oh and we're a bunch of girls in heels, walking won't be an option ;) Thanks.

10 minute walk or 25 minutes in a taxi as thousands people pour back into town.

Bring sandals, as getting bus or taxi will be anon runner as everyone will be heading that way.

Leave the gig and walk into town early is my advice,

I was left waiting for a taxi on O Connell Street for two hours after the metallica gig...granted the eagles were playing that night as well but still!

Ah okay thanks guys....oooh there's gonnabe blisters! (It's a girlie night out, fashion over comfort at all times)....how long roughly does it take to walk back in to town? I've walked from the Point back in to town in heels before....is that roughly the same or am I kidding myself?

Walk 2 minutes to Sandymount Dart station, just leave a couple of minutes early.

Even if you leave on time you'll easily enough catch a 46a or 10 from the stillorgan road into town...

From the RDS it really depends on where you are headed in town.
If you are talking O'Connell St. then the walk will be 25-30 mins if you are brisk, although there should be plenty of buses passing on this route.
Alternatively you could call round to my house, it's only 5 mins from the RDS and I'll give you a lift:D

The last 7 & 45 leave Cherrywood & Bray at 11.30, so they wouldn't be passing the RDS til at the earliest 11.45/11.50... You'd definitely make either of them, but would advise to walk back a bus stop or two cos if there are tons at the bus stop at the RDS, you mightn't get on!

just leave early, dublin bus has extra buses on after the gig bringing people into town, leave during the last song and you'll get one no problem...
