    Hi All,
I am off to LA and Las Vegas in September. i was going to bring a moby but wondered will it work as a RTG phone over there?

If not will buying one be a cheaper option?

If you are going to the States you will need a tri-band phone. Don't think RTG phones are tri-band ( could be wrong ) but I do know that you need to have the RTG for a while and also spent so much in the past.
Also they are not set up to operate out of Ireland, you need to contact the provider to activate the function.

Thats my experience from the past.

    Hope it helps.

Going to LA, Vegas and Grand Caynon in July myself.

thanks for the reply, The phone is a K750i which i think is tri band (mental note to check this)

Might just get a cheap pay as you go when i get into LA me thinks.

K750i should do you fine in LA, reception wise. However, there are conflicting reports as to whether RTG roaming works in the USA - it might be worth checking it out with Vodafone Customer Service.

As for phones in the US - cheap maybe, but you end up paying for incoming as well as outgoing calls.

Do yourself a favour and pick up an international calling card, they are cheap for calling home but you can text home anyway, so thats not too bad.

K750i works great in USA as used mine when I was there and it was with Vodafone.
