I was thinking of getting my eye brow pearced. I am 16 and have always wanted it done. I have no other pearcings. How long do I have to leave the stud in before I can take it out? Are they dear to get done? Would I be turned away from a job because of this?

Ohh yeah, just one more question. It is said in my school that people who have their right ear only pierced are gay. Is this the same with the eyebrow?

yes, it will affect job, look up Snakebite.ie - rough prices. and i dont know about the taking it out look it up on google. in my school left side is gay, varys place to place. and that shouldnt affect your decision where to get it.

    why should it matter?

Having your right ear pierced does mean your gay it just increases the chance of you catching the ghey, don't worry it is curable or so i've heard. I think it works on all sides of the body thats why i confine mine to the left side of my body, but then i caught the chasity when i got my appa done, so it works all ways.

Also crazy dude be careful its always been right is gay, the people in your school obviously caught the ghey and are now trying to pass it on. Be wary or go with it your call.

Also i find social standing/stigma the best way to choose mods much easier then personal choice/ aestheic(sp?)

It doesn't help...I've already shaken it!!! But then again, I'm not really surprised...I was just hoping the shaking would make it go away!!!!! :)

And Emmet, the only thing you caught was the ghey cooties :p

Just taught I would give you an update:rolleyes: . I went into a tatoo shop that also specialises in piercings. I asked basically the same questions that I did here. The fella said it would cost about €30, I would have to leave it in for about 6 weeks before the swelling goes down. So I taught to myself that was grand. So I asked my aul lad and he said ask your mother, the usual:rolleyes: . So I asked her and she doesn't want me to get it done. Just needs a bit of convinceing and i'm sorted.

Just get it done then go home with it, then she can't say no. easy really

That would be a bit of an imature thing to do. I would rather her be comfortable with it first than to do it that way. If she says yeah, then I'm grand. But I don't want to do it that way.

It wouldn't be an immature thing to do, it would be you showing her its your body not hers its a problem most parents have to accept that while thye give birth to you, your not theirs you're your own distinct person. takes em awhile to figure it out.

Dont you think you should tell them directly that you're gay before arriving home with an earring and shocking them??? That's not a very nice way of breaking the news, and you talking about maturity, I'm shocked.

I always "inform" my parents before I get a new piercing, when i got my first one my mother wasnt too happy but she grew to love me again :p
Maybe wait a year DonnybrookGhost, a year of nagging does wonders :D
