    Exodus,

organic image I have seen some of his work and it's pretty impressive mostly auto/bike related.

I do airbrushing, but stick to more regular size canvasses and bodypainting. Can be expensive as you need an ari compressor as well, and you need to know how the work in order to keep them clean. What sort of size are we talking about here?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

For wall-sized surfaces, you'll need something other than an airbrush. Possibly the spray gun. I haven't used one, so I can't really say.

For smaller, canvas sized jobs, I use Paasche VJR Double action airbush and have never had any problems with it (middle item on link)http://www.paascheairbrush.com/daa_gravityfeed.html
Took a lot of practice, but that's going to be the case anyway. Check out the link in my sig if you want to see some results.

Kennedy's in Harcourt Street in Dublin sell airbrushes and a small range of accessories.

Where abouts are you based, by the way?

    Hi everybody,

    I do know something about airbrushing...I think:eek:
ExoduS, first of all you should know, what you will need airbrush or mini spray gun - in your case - for...
If you-re thinking about large areas, walls, large canvas, etc, there's no point to buy fine nozzled double action 'brushes. If you're total beginner, Badger 200 line, bottom feed is way to go. It' s cheap and very good.
But you shold know as well, that investment into air compressor is a must. And if you thinking large you have to go large! Be ready to fork out some 400+ quid for some small sized compressor with 25lt tank, but it won't run mini gun...

And the next thing is, if you shopping around for airbrushes and equipment, try some modelling on-line shops, after all, those lads are the biggest airbrush users in the world!

    www.bearair.com
    www.airbrushes.com
    www.widespreadsolutions.co.uk /?/

are three examples I can think of right now...out of hunderts

when i say mural i'm talking more of a small area, like 1x3m area, maybe more maybe less. the reason i am choosing and airbrush as this will have fine detail? I got some advice off this before and i was told to not buy anything other than a double feed airbrush. This will be an investment as i dont wanna be piling out money for something i might be progressing from in about a month, not saying that im a davinci but i want to get value for money and dickblick.com seems to be good for value! just wondering which would be suitable!

Well, then go for Badger 175 Crescendo, or if you want to get the best money can buy go for Iwata. Revolution is offering good value for money, but the best is Custom Micron...

I still don't understand, though. 3x1meters is bloody big area to work on with airbrush and it'll take a lot of really hard work. Unless, ofcourse you want to use this 'brush "only" like a detailing tool, but still...

And just one more thing, I started to learn this technique with single action airbrush in the early 90's and I still have it and I am still using it. I've got few more 'brushes over the years, which are both single and double action, with different size nozzels, suitable for different tasks...

    But it's just me, perhaps...

I presume you mean double-action, not double feed? Think I'd agree with that if going for detail. Detail, though takes a lot of practise... Fise seems to know far more than I do about diffrent brands and is far more experienced, I'm really just beginning here.
