I remember three years ago when I was still playing 5-card draw, I started out with a pair of 4's and three other cards, so I ditched the leverage and picked up another pair of 4's. Doing my best to keep a straight face (I was only a beginner, hadn't perfected hiding my emotions) the betting started.

Soon enough 3 of the others folded, and the rest of us were betting heavilly, after about a minute of betting the cards were shown. The first lad had a flush to a picture card, second guy had a full house, and I casually showed them my poker. I got about €15 from it, it doesn't sound like much but the antes were only 10 cent

    Can go slighty better.
Similar situation. 5 card draw. 2s are wild. Start with pair of 2s and three rags. So ditch three cards and get back a jack of hearts and the other two remaining twos. Poker of wild 2s. The poker was good enough to win it, but could of called it as a royal flush with the jack. Not sure how much i won from it.

playing online i was dealt T7c in the BB One guy led for $4 and rest called him i called with odds.

Flop came 8c9c6d. I bet pot.... One guy went all in another went all in and another followed. Naturally i called.

One guy had 99 other 88 and Other AA.

Board never improved and i took down a $900 pot at 1/$2 Nl. :)

P.S Only yesterday did i hit my first ever royal flush after 4 yrs of playing poker and it was 30 mins after Ladbrokes $1000 bonus for anyone that hits a royal flush during world cup games..

    1/2 Pot Lim
Got 55 preflop and the guy 2 seats to my left raises to about 15eur
A few people call and i call cause this guy raises all the time, almost every hand with nothing most of the time.

    10 j 5 came down with 2 suited

I check guy bets pot and i think i raised again.

i guess this guy is chasing the flush

Two rags come down for turn and river and i re-raised every street

He dosent make his flush by the river and i bet 80 or something after he checks and he waits for a while and goes all in for 200. I call and he throws down KK.

I was shocked that he called me every street after me re-raising every time.

its was a nice pot of about 850eur

Smooth call a big pf raise with AA

    Flop AAK

    Guy bets into me!

I call, on the turn he checks, I bet small, he pushes, I call and he turns over KK.

I got quads three times this weekend in live games, twice in one game in the fitz. All three times people were betting and raising me. That was fun...

very similiar a PP game last night. I hade Q2o and was in a hurry so I called and saw a flop:
    2 K K
Panicked with Kings onboard but the guy raising had gone all in with bupkis before, so i thought i'd reraise him to scare him off. he returns the reraise, I call.
turn Q. Other guy goes all in. I call. River another Q. RESULT. He had 22 BTW, so had boat from flop!!!

ATs on the bb. Raised pf from mp, sb calls and I called. Flop comes KQx rainbow and I'm ready to check-fold. It's checked around and the turn is the perfect Js  giving me the nut straight and nut flush draw. sb bets pot, I call, mp pushes, sb calls, I call. River a blank. sb pushes, I call :) sb slowplayed a flopped set and mp made a set on the turn.

Last night I actually played a hand that was up there with my best ever. I was lagging it up at the time and got K10s on the button, 2 limpers including one guy with a VPiP of 4  so I raised it 5x BB's and both called.

Flop came down a beautiful 9JQs :D and it was checked around to me, so as always I made my usual 1/2 pot continuation bet. The 4 VPiP'er called. :)

Turn 10, he led out just under 1/2 pot, hmmm, do I call or raise, so I made it look like I was trying to buy the pot and tripled his bet. He called. :D

River rag, he checked, I push and he called with KJo

A flopped straight flush that stacked a complete Rock, I must have had a much looser reputation than I thought

once got A J suited hearts as my cards. the flop was 9spades king hearts. turn was 10 hearts and river was queen hearts. beutifule royal flush but once i raised they all backed out and i bearly won anything. typical though. then 3 hands later i filled a straight flush. it will never happen again

my favourite hand was against a slowrolling "buddha" type player, i Had raised with JJ and the flop came AJJ, check check, then T on the Turn, i bet he raised i called. river was another T, i bet he raises i raise all in and he calls instantly. i show over one J to him and he shows a Ten, i go to take the pot and he laughs and says ha! and shows the other Ten, i let go of the pot wait til he touches it and turn my other Jack over.... sweetest pot iv ever won :) yes i am a cnut ;)

Love it, that's my favourite post in a good while, I'd say that felt brilliant, there's nothing I hate more than a slow rolling wonker!!!

EDIT: Obviously that's all results orientated thinking, it would have been bad had be shown a house or straight, but fcuk it, I'm having a bad day....

Goodlucktome that is pure class. I'd say you wiped the smile off his face fairly quickly !!!
I dabble from time to time in limit holdem. The pots are usually quite consistently juicy. Felt a tiny bit crazy one day so I was playing $5/$10 blinds. Playing tightish (You really need to have the cards in Limit coz people will just call you down with damn near anything!!!) Won a good few hundred dollars in about 30 minutes so I said feck and moved up to $10/$20 blinds for the craic. The pots were scaring the crap outta me when I was watching until the button passed me and I sat down.First hand I get 7 7. I raise the limit and 4 call. Flop 2 7 7. Nearly sh1t myself !!! I raise and all call. Turn K. I raise, One folds, one calls and the other re-raises. Pot was monster at this stage. Raise after raise. River a rag and I raise, he re-raises and I'm laughing. He turns over K K and he sees my quads. I nearly had a heart attack with the GINORMOUS pot. (I'm a 50c/1 Nl player usually. If I feel extragavant I play 1/2 !!!) The guy cursed me to high heaven.

My plan is to leave quicksmart but this guy is still fuming in the chat box and everyone at the table is finding it amusing. So I stayed for another hand.
Very next hand I get A diamond 2 diamond. Everyones posts blinds and flop comes down 3 4 5 all diamonds !!! Straight flush. Someone was smiling at me from above !!! This is where I feel sorry for the same guy !!! I raise limit and he re-raises !!! Raise after re-raise again continued through the hand. He turned over K Q diamond and I show the straight flush. He should have presumed I had the ace anyway. Poor sod left the table V. quickly and so did I. Needless to say I paid for my summer in the States with his hard earned cash from those two hands !!!
To this day I've never come anywhere close to those two hands !!!

it was just so sweet that he slowrolled me too, everyone at the table realised what had happened too and knew the guy in question, so the story has been repeated a few times allright! although he tends to slow roll less often now funny enough :)
