    Hi all-
would just like to ask someone like Watty if the Technisat Multytenne 45 + DIGIT MF4-S which picks up 4 sats without a motor will work in Ireland as it only has a 45cm dish-or is it possible to hook it up to a bigger dish-
    thanks in advance....

from the small bit I have read about this system it is aimed more at the european market than over here, the dish wont be large enough imo to give suitable reception on the four satellites. From the design of it I dont think it is possible to swap the dish.

    Too small
See the 80 to 110 cm dishes and four way bracket for separate LNBs
    www.satellite.ie

Also Monoblocs with 2, 3 or 4 Horns are very inflexible, only work properly with one geometry of dish and have fixed satellite reception spacing.

Separate LNBs and external 4 - way Diseqc switch is really the only way.

YOu don't need a "toriodial" dish unless doing more than 20 degree spread or more than 4 LNBs.

As mentioned above Multytenne 45 + is no good in Ireland but Multibeam Sat.-Antenne Maximum T85 is the one you want! You can get one for 79 euro

    Hope this helps.

The original query was over a year ago!

However, funny you should mention that dish, as I was looking at it last night, as a possible alternative to the massive Wave Toroidal T90.

Seems to have a range of 24° which would pick up Hotbird, Astra 1 and Astra 2 for example
