Cheap Moto GP (Play-asia)

Just thought I'd let you guys know Moto GP is on play-asia, the asian version comes to around €35, and there's no region protection.

Cheers. I didnt get in in time for hitman or tomb raider so just grabbed a copy. Does the box/casing/disc look any different to the pal version?

Don't think so, well i got call of duty off there and im pretty sure its exactly the same, only with ntsc up the corner. Yeah missed out on Hitman too unfortunatly!

yeah play asia are good. I got Tomb Raider from there, came in the Eu Pal version at 35 euro even tho it was the jap ntsc version i ordered.

Also bought this, hope its my cup of tea, the xbox ones werent . as they were hardcore sims, maybe this is a lesson in not buying games after drinking a few.

So, What is the deal with the play-asia games? They are the Japanenese versions right? But are the games are in English?

The deal is only some asian games will work on your xbox, so check it out first, it'll say no region protection, and yeah it says wether its in english or not, they usually are, and I got call of duty 2 the box and manual were all in english too!

lol. Yeah its quite difficult, I got it because I thought it'd be a laugh on four player. Oh and by the way, Ridge Racer has gone down to about €35 on play.com

I had the same problem with falling off all the time but I discovered 2 things that have almost eliminated the amount of time I spend "testing my leathers"

1. Ride around other racers not through them
2. don't try to use the brakes while turning

I still get punted off by others online cause they haven't copped on to the first point but it's made so much difference to my enjoyment of the game, I just wish I wasn't broke at the mo still payday is coming so I may just splurge

Try changing the config around a bit.

front brake - A.
Back Brake - X
Accelerate - Right Trigger
Both Brakes - Left Trigger


This will give you a chance of getting used to it before you try to perform power slides.

i was the same with the demo, off every corner. but after a long play , you get use to it. im no master, but I can go a lap now with out bailing.

I've just managed to make it round the demo race without coming a cropper, now just have to wait for the full version to arrive so I can see how bad I really am at this.

I usually use the right stick for gaccelerating and braking, helps a bit, maybe when I get the game i'll try work with individual brakes!

Has anyone got their copy? Mine came in the post today and loaded it up and it rarely works. Sometimes I might manage 1 race and then it crashes.

Got mine, played it for a few hours. I have had a few races now where I dont crash every lap / corner.

Once you are at this level, you can take yourself online, as many other players, play at this level. I was expecting to have my ass handed to me, but all the races I have had are quite balanced.

Im looking fwd to the point where I get to grips with the control system, its a long learning curve by the looks of it !
My one tip is, dont play it like a car game, where u break at the last minute and slide the corners. Break early and roll around the corners, using the breaks if you have over cooked it.

Just got mine yesterday. I was expecting it to take a long time for shipping, but that was nearly a month from HK. CDwow ship from there also and don't seem to take as long.

Anyway glad I finally got it and now and now I just have to try and figure out how to stay on the bike for the whole race.
