    hey guys,
Just posting some piccies of my latest acquisition... with some back ground on her too...

Its an LP Premium Rootbeer made for Music Machine by Gibson USA. Music Machine commissioned a limited edition of 40 guitars of this type. It was manufactured in 2003. Its based on the LP standard with a 50s neck. It has a AAAAA quilted maple cap with Rootbeer finish, black binding, gold hardware, Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge), Abalone shell inlays, and gold Kluson tuners.

Had to get her imported in from a guy in Hawaii via private sale... plays like a dream...

Wow! REALLY nice! Congratulations. How does it sound?

(If it was me I'd put speed knobs on it;) )

I won't be changing anything on her, she'll be staying stock, personally I think the amber top hats really compliment the root beer colour.

From a sound perspective the burstbuckers are really lively but with minimum noise. I'm familiar with the Gibson 490/498 pup combos from playing my SGs so I dig a lively pup set, the Les Paul sounds way deeper from a tone persective which I would expect from a 9lb'er... she simply sings... very happy with it.

i love the body but the neck wood is too light it needs to be darker colour or darker wood

Thanks for the sweet compliments all... I am rather proud of my preciousssss! ;)

Yeah she cost me a nice sum of euros (around the €3,300 mark), I won't be financing any major guitar scores over the coming few months thats for sure

I was hunting a Gibson Les Paul for the last 2 years but I didn't want the standard colours/finishes. I've known the previous owner of this one for ages through musical/guitar forums and I always was envious of this guitar... when he put her up for sale I was like  and pounced on it... she is pretty unusual and in my little bubble she's worth every cent. ;)

Root beer rocks! That's the only guitar I've ever seen with that exact finish on it, very unique!

I don't like les pauls, personally, but that finish is beautiful

Does it have an arched top too? I wuv them.

If you mean... is the maple cap slightly arched like Les Pauls are? then yes she is ;)

I alway tend to think of archtops as semi-hollowbodies like the ES series...

Cheers again for the kind words :)

Dude, seriously that puts every les paul i have ever seen to SHAME, The black binding and black pu ring really complements the finish. NEVER sell her(unless its to me). You really are lucky no matter what that thing set you back.
