I think you'll find Top Of The Charts hasn't run since May 03, nor will it be running today.

Top The Charts must be what your thinking of.

Sadeek in the 2.35. Anyone know best available price? I've limited access here.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

Best priced 9-1 with Betfair....8-1 with PP.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

The placepot would be a good bet today, will definitely pay a high dividend. The racing looks incredibly difficult.

For an interest, I've done a placepot and a L15

    Holy Roman Emperor
    Takeover Target
    Proclomation
    Icecap (running at Brighton)

I reckon an each way bet on Numero Due in the 4.55 at Ascot places from 1 to 5 being offered. He has been backed in to 20-1 from 33-1 anybody have any opinion or info on this one.

    Cheers

Yeah chuckprophet, that just means its a quarter the odds and not a fifth (which is always the case in a 7 runner race). It doesn't mean you get paid on the first four home, if thats what you were thinking?

Although I hate big field 5 furlong sprints I'm going to side with La Cucaracha @ 3:10 here, loves this type of race and really looked a horse to be going places last year, also unbeaten over 5 furlongs on Good to firm ground.

In the first group 1 of the day I can't see past Araafa, had a few of his rivals behind him at the Curragh while I'd question the quality of French guineas.

I had intended back Proclamation at 4:25 as she is the class act in the race however being her first start of the season and an apparent lack of confidence behind her I've decided to leave that race alone.

An interesting each way bet at 4:55 is Double Obsession, won this race 2 years ago off a 4lb higher mark, seems to be well drawn if the racing post is to be believed. Currenly trading at 27/1 on Befair for the win and 6/1 for the place.

I'll be having a few shillings on...

2:35 - Hellvelyn - difficult to compare form-lines for 2yos but this one was impressive lto and promises more. 1pt win.

    3:10 - Benbaun - speedy front-runner who should be thereabouts at a decent price. 1pt e/w.

    3:50 - Stormy River - respected French raider, might do an e/w saver at ~9/2. 1pt e/w.

4:25 - Ad Valorem - pity this race has dropped to 7 runners as I felt he was a good e/w bet at ~9/1. He'll run much better on this faster ground. 0.5pts e/w.

I was somewhat impressed with how Decado kept on in the Irish Guineas from a prominent position - I believe he represents the value here.

I also like the way Dandy Man is progressing in the sprinting stakes.

    Reverence 3:10 - 14/1 Great Value

    Reverence 3:10 - 14/1 Great Value

I've backed him to place at 6/1, reckon he'll find 1 or 2 too good. By the way he's 22/1 on Betfair.

Good day for me so far and most of my winnings are going on Top The Charts in the next.

Nicely done. I see you can pick horses as well as come up with ingenious new systems.

Thanks, I think the system gives me extra inspiration. Not just in racing but in all of life.

To finish the day, I'm siding with Dazed And Amazed in the last.

    Hey people kinda new here.
    Hope no one minds me.

    Trying a e/w lucky 15 today

    La Cucaracha 6/1 Lost
    Royal Power 14/1 lost
    Full House 20/1 Placed
    The Old Fella 11/1 Placed
    All win = €18623.03
    All Placed = €319.53

Think it returned about €16 or €17
    so didn't lose.

How does the lucky 15 work/cost etc?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

If he did a 50 cent eacy way lucky 15 it would cost double what a straight one would cost...so €15. As he put those prices the bet returned 16.13 so a profit of 1.13 for him.

incidently, if crumbs had've done the same bet, he would have won 118.30

On the contrary, I'd imagine he'd get one of his staff to collect it and buy a prize turkey or something similar.

    Mmmmmm...... turkey!
