On Wednesday I'm going to New York, then to Orlando and then to Sarasota! It's my first holiday in years so I wanna make it good! There's already a thread on New York so any suggestions for the other two places?

Obviously, Orlando and the theme parks so no need to mention them!

When you're in Sarasota make sure you visit Siesta Key which is attached by bridge to the mainland. The beaches are gorgeous fine whitesand and the sunsets are out of this world. If you are there on a Sunday evening the have a drum cicle before sunset on Siesta Key public beach.

Going back to Orlando, when visiting the parks try and get there a little bit before opening, you will see so much more in the first couple of hours and if you go to Disney make sure you use the fastpass machines to help save on the queuing times.

    Have a great time :)

Siesta Key is beautiful so if you get the opportunity you should go! Sarasota is a town for beach combers. It's got a very slow and laid back atmosphere.

I'm from Orlando and in case you get bored with the theme parks or want something different, there are other things to do. Winter Park, which is right north of Orlando has wonderful shopping and the main street, Park Avenue is absolutely beautiful this time of year. You can take a boat ride through the canals and see gorgeous homes and flower gardens.
Bring plenty of water if you're going to spend the day at a theme park. The waits in line will be long and many lines are outside. The weather becomes unbearably hot by noon, if not beforehand, and stays hot until it rains at 3pm or sunset.
