Mods I'm not sure where to put this feel free to move. thanks.

I'm startig to do a lot of driving to new places with my job. I'd live satnav but at the moment have to rely on internet maps. There are loads fo sites out there I was just wondering what everyone uses themselves.

The ones I use most are:

AA Route Planner: Good directons, but sometimes too detailed (lists every exit at every roundabout etc, unnecessary really. Also no photo/picture map of route.
RAC Journey Planner: Interactive map is terrible, static is not detailed enough. Directions are ok.
Maporama: Very good detailed maps, good also. Prob best of the 3, but stll not perfect as can sometimes not work or be annoying to use...

Does anyone else use these sites a lot? What do you think is the best, are there any others that I have missed out?

I use the AA site, it's great for European routes too.

Satnav is superb. Father in law has it in his car (Volvo XC90) and it's pretty good although expensive to update. He updated it about 6 or 8 weeks ago. Discs cost €380, I think. Update still doesn't include the road to my house though (but I'm sure he knows the way!).

Google Maps is fairly useful but they need more detail in Ireland. Northern Ireland is good if your traveling there and the rest of Europe/America. http://maps.google.com. You can change between Maps and Satelite images to get your bears as well which is a good feature.
    Hope this helps,
    Al.

Im in the US right now and find Mapquest excellent. Directions are fairly good most of the time. Fairly common website.
