    Hi,

I want to setup a second box with FTA channels. Is this possible or will i need a Sky multiroom subscription?

More than possible! I got Sky+ a couple of months ago, and have the old Sky box in the bedroom where I can see the FTA channels. I have the signal distributed in the attic (remember the LNB is quad, so even with Sky+ you have 2 cables left over), and that works just great: Sat cable diplexed with the terrestrial to a splitter socket.

Funnily enough, I regularly read about cards being married to boxes. Well, my boxes and card must have had a divorce (or a very open marriage) because I can move the card from one box to the other and it works fine.

Only Sky premium channels are "married" to box. RTE & BBC used to be. Obviosuly BBC it doesn't matter as you get MORE BBC with NO Card!
