I'm not talking about your dream bike, practicality, reliability, function, etc. Just literally the most beautiful bike you've seen. I thought I'd seen it when I first saw the Harley Davidson V-Rod (I'm a relative newbie to bikes) but on seeing the bike below I had to start this thread. I saw this picture late last week and I have to say it's the most beautiful bike I've ever seen. Not that I'd like one or will ever own one, but it is just beautiful.

They made it for the road....(what fecking road is what I want to know) Have you seen the exaust system? (if you cant find it, heres a hint, its on top of the rear) I'm waiting for Ducati Dublin to get one in. I want to hear what the Twin pluse config sounds like. Now if you dont mind me, I need to go get a new pair of pants....

you cant buy an nc30 or nr750 new anymore.
the nr750, the red bike, was £38000 sterling new in 1992.
le most expensive honda ever methinks.

the senna f4 is nice, but a little cheapy.
may as well go for the full tamburini if yur gettting one ;)

the matt black mvf4 is stunning, The 2003 model R1 in grey was a tidy little beauty as well ans had some lovely little touches (the suspension adjusters and brake calipers etc...). The Britten V-twin (1993 ish) was a masterpiece too. I think Ducati milked the whole 916/996/998 thing for too long (ok, it was a timeless design and always gonna be a bitch to improve on) and what they did afterwards was a disgrace. Pierre terblanche should be taken out and shot! I think the Honda RVF750 (not the RC45) endurance racer from the eighties steals it though. Tiny, gorgeous and brilliant. No pictures because of poxy dial up.

Its part of my mid life crisis if i dont end up doing the shamrock run at some stage. Its big and unnecessary and I cant imagine myself even reaching the bars but wow.

The little ninja is hopefully my next bike. Maybe.

RE: NR750......you think that's good...... there's a guy in Ireland who has at least 1. I believe he actually has 2 - a second one in mothballs.........

There was one of those Hondas on the Rev-up for DSI. It was some impressive machine. Till you got up close and see that those pipes are just for show. In them there are two tiny little holes that are the real exausts. It also runs really quite. I felt somehow cheated :D

And about the Boss Hoss - A relative of mine has one. Over 500 horsepower and the 350 small block Chevy engine (5700 cc!!) gets her up to a possible 228 m.p.h. It has a two speed transmission and gets horrible gas mileage. It is a wierd oddity really. Not exactly a riders bike. Sort of like a super long, hard tailed chopper... mainly for looks etc.

No indicators, no silencer and 6-foot yoke sticking out at the back of it? Hmmm... I'm skeptical the Gards would let you drive that here...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,892 ✭✭✭madrab

    well maybe just in america

but you dont need indicators to be road legal, just a headlight, brakelight & no. plate ligh

No I'm pretty sure you also need rear red light, rear red reflector and indicators to be road legal...

no indicators needed, that's the law.
if they are on a bike you must use them, if not you can use hand singles.
