Problem accessing www.allofmp3.com

    Since last week I haven't been able to access www.allofmp3.com - I keep getting "Page cannot be found". At first I thought it was because the website was down but apparently this is not the case. So I'm assuming now that my Norton anti-virus must have changed some of the settings on my pc when I downloaded an update last week. I'm no expert when it comes to computers, but I've checked all the obvious things like security levels etc and there is nothing jumping out at me as to what is causing the problem. Any other website I use seems to be working fine. If anyone has any advice or if there is a particular obsecure setting I need to enable or disable I'd appreciate any information.

    Thanks. :):)

    Open a command prompt* and type in this & press enter
    ipconfig /flushdns

    Reboot the machine and try accessing allofmp3 again, their site is up as of writing this post though they are under pressure from copyright lobbies so maybe they are trying to disrupt the site.

    * Start->All Programs->Accessories-Command Prompt

    Thanks for the reply. I tried the above but still no joy. Is it possible that my ISP (IMAGINE) have deliberately blocked the site after all the stories recently regarding it's legality/illegality?? Are they authorised to do something like that?

    From a command prompt, run this and paste the results:
    tracert www.allofmp3.com

    Hi,

    I've done a command prompt and run "tracert www.allofmp3.com" but it won't seem to let me copy and paste the data that comes up. :mad: :mad:

    To copy text from a command prompt window (if it is full screen, do alt-enter to put it back in a window first):

    To copy text from a command prompt just click on the control menu (the icon on the very left of the title bar) and select properties. Under the options tab tick the Quick Edit mode box and press ok. Then you can highlight what ever you want to copy and press Enter to send it to the clipboard. Then just paste normally.

    As for ISPs having a right to block content - they actually don't in Ireland. However this case hasn't been tried here yet. In the US - it is now legal for ISP to prioritise content - just google 2-tier internet for Tim Berner-Lee's read on this.
