I came in here to be abused!

I love it, as I love a lot of his songs.
Backstreet boys and amish paradise spring to mind.

slightly amusing yes, but this guy actually records and sells this stuff!
i mean who hasn't been at a party where some guy brings out a guitar and begins singing pop songs with altered 'funny' lyrics..

    ..anybody could do it!

Nice linkey :) I like some of Weird Al's music like Cavity Search(U2's Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me) is quite funny. *drilling noise*

Ooooo, sounds like you've been to some rockin' parties, man. You're pitiful! There, now the thread title's justified.

Oh, Hardware Store for the win.

    Poodle Hat Released: 2003
Back to Bedlam (The album You're Beautiful is from) Released: 2004

I sincerely doubt it, unless Al has mastered time travel. Great song though, he uses my favourite insult ever in there (delusions of adequecy)

I heard on the radio last week that James Blunt and his record company won't give their permission for Weird Al to release this. Weird Al accepted this but said there was nothing he could do to stop people googling it.

He even went as far as putting it up on his website for free download... he has about 8 links to it in case a few are taken down :)

Heard it from the METRO during the week ;)

Further proof that James Blunt is the most boring and humourless person in pop. Can't he apreciate the compliment?

Apparently Weird Al approached him and Blunt loved it... it was Weird Al's record company that forbade him to release it...

Ah record companies, if it's bland sell it. If it's in anyway creative try and bury it. Would be a real shame if the internet finally killed them off. :D

Did Blunt have any reaction to Nicole Parker's Parody? Fox played the MADtv episode with it on Saturday night, opposite an SNL rerun which had the actual James Blunt on.
