Woah im astounded by how well it sounds/plays/looks. Last time I used single coils was on my very first guitar, a strat copy which is long gone.

Yeah i think the vintage spec klusons/off-white pickguard and binding set it off too, part of the reason why i bought it! Its the sexiest tele i've ever seen! Apart from one of those trussart rusty tele's.

As regards japanese shops, www.guitarjapan.com have a decent selection of japanese insts and their site is infinitely more english user friendly too. The prices seem about the same is ishibashi. US$360 for a basic strat not incl. import duty and shipping
