Jogging v Cycling

Been using an exercise bike for about 2 months now, and also by changing my diet completely i've had excellent results, lost a fair amount of weight. The fat around the lower stomach is quite stubborn to shift though, as has been mentioned many times on here. I usually do 25 minutes of pretty intense cardio on the bike, keeping my heart rate around the 130 mark and its had good results. Just wondering if i switched from 25 minutes on the bike to 25 minutes jogging, would there be a significant increase in the amount of calories burned ? or would i need to increase the time of jogging say to 40 minutes or so ? I know its more as your carrying your bodyweight when jogging but on average how much more is burned by jogging ?

How about trying real cycling. It burns up more energy since there's hills and stuff. I've started cycling in to town and back again in the morning which is about 8 miles and some evenings I might do it again which is about 16 miles a day great way to burn calories and keep fit. It depends if you're jogging on a machine or actually jogging. It's so much better to be out in the sun and fresh air rather than be indoors.

why not to try one of those cross-trainers? I burn 300 calories in 15minutes if I push myself a bit harder on that machine ;)
