Help with audio please

    there is no sound coming from my computer at all , ive tried everything redownloading the drivers fiddling with everything people have said to me ??? computor acts as though there is sound ?

    anyhelp please ?

    What sound card?
    What OS?
    Is the soundcard enabled in the device manager?
    What version of the drivers?
    Where did you get them?
    Are the speakers plugged in\on?
    Is Windows volume control set to mute?

    yes
    up to date driver for avance audio
    avance site
    yes
    not mute on my sound manager , where is the mute on windows ?

    OS: Operating system.

    So its an integrated card, by the looks of it. What computer model do you have?

    emachines 820 , gone into device manager and audio & drivers and it says everything is working properly ...before i download the drivers it said there was a problem but now evrything is fine , but still no sound ?

    Also when i plug the speakers in the is a static like noise ?
