Rightio, another mac question for you lot :)

What database products are available for the Mac. Its seems that MySql may have a port and there is Appleworks but what else is there? Do apple have their own? And please don't mention MS Office products.

Appleworks is an Apple made product.

I'm not sure what you're looking for exactly, but if it's an alternative to Office then there's also Neo Office, Open Office (you need X11 from the developer pack though for OO).

That filemaker/filemaker pro is quite popular though.

the current mySQL (version 5) port for osx is very solid - there's been ports available since version 3. you can also get postgreSQL which is well thought of.

If you're using mySQL i recommend cocoamySQL which is an excellent little cocoa app for administering a mysql database

if MacOS X has a Unix shell you should be able to install practically all Unix compatible database products too
