Shame to admit it but I bought my first bike jacket in Bikeworld
    :o

When the zip busted on it after 18 months, I brought it back, the guy sent it off to some lady who does this for them and put in a nice new zip in for something really cheap like €20 or something - cant remember exactly now.

That was a fabric (non leather) jacket though. Might be worth a try. It definitely is possible.

Is there something I should know about Bikeworld? I was planning to go there and look for everything from a used bike to gloves when I get over some time this summer...

They have a great selection of everything (the best I've seen in a bike shop anyhow).
Unfortunately, the choice comes at a cost. They are quite dear, but at least they have a good selection of bikes, gear and accessories...

There's a place on South Anne street off Grafton Street that does Motorcycle leathers. I've used them and they're excellent.

    I jest, I jest.

It is grand, just like bigcon said, they have everything. However some things may be cheaper elsewhere.

    :)

My mother does a mean zip replacement. :D

OT: Stigster, give the UK a thought when it comes to buying a used bike. If you know what you're after, there are huge savings to be made by buying one over there and bringing it here.

That said, I've always been happy with the services I've required of Bikeworld.
