Hi all, a mate of mine has asked me to look out for a camera on line for him. His budget is between 200 and 250€ and he was additional memory included in this price. The two which I have picked out are both Fuji, which I bought for my first DC and found them easy and straight forward to use.

The first one is the Finepix A500 which comes in less that 200€ and looks to be quiet good except for the fact it uses normal 2 alcalines AA batteries.

The second one is the Finepix Z1 Silver which comes in at 265€. This does however come with a lithium battery, but has very similar spec.

Do any of you guys and girls on have any experiences with the above cameras and if so, what are your opinions on them. I am however open to other suggestions if people feel that there are alternative cameras which I should consider.

    Many Thanks.

Oh before I go, recently I purchased the ixus 50 as a replacement for a broken out of warranty Canon S50, but after about 8 weeks of arguing with canon over this camera, they have agreed to fix the problem with the camera and return it to be with a 6 month warranty on it. As it turned out the problem was with the optical lens. Now I will be in a position where I will have two fairly decent cameras and will probably be looking to off load one of them. Which of the two would you consider to be the better camera.

    Thanks again.
