This was on ITV3 yesterday, I hadn't seen it in years, it brought back happy memories of childhood sundays!!

It was Robin: The HOODED Man. The BBC have actually started filming a new Robin Hood series with an Irish actor in the lead role. Can't remember his name.

I loved the theme tune so much that i brought the clannad album it was on! (i know very sad indeed)

Used to love that series & watch it all the time - it had some black magic stuff in it too that made it seem very 'adult' at the time.

Cant say as I fancied robin though - far as I remember Maid Marian was neat-o though. The music was excellent too.

Ah, yes, Herne the Hunter and all of that wonderful mysticism.

However, so far as female friends of mine are concerned, it wasn't Jason Connery (pictured above) who was the most fanciable Robin but the other (dark-haired) bloke, Michael Praed.

And yes, Maid Marion was quite attractive (as much as I can remember from 1984!)

I recently bought series one and two on DVD for a pittance off eBay. They still hold up very well today and the series remains my favourite treatment of the Robin Hood legend. Series 3 with Sean Connorry's kid wasn't the best though.

I know the theme tune is way too catchy. I agree Robin mark one was way more fanciable!! I know what ill be watching tomorrow on itv3

Robin (Jason Connery) was in an episode of Smallville recently. He is bald but with a really strange pattern. He still looked well.

Ah yes, I used to watch it religiously at 6pm on a Saturday evening and used to sing along happily to the theme tune....."Robin The Hooligaaaaan" or so I thought that's what the vocals were until my older smart-arse brother of 9 informed me it was "Hoooooded Maaaaaan".

Remember it well. Music kinda spooked me. Can't understand why women gush over the dark-haired guy that played the first Robin.
