Uninstalling software

    for some reason i cant seem to uninstall the creative mp3 software off the pc, nothing happens when i go to add/remove programs.

    is there another way of uninstalling that i dont know about?
    im running xp.

    Try running the installer again, it might give you the option to uninstall the software. Windows Installer-based installers usually do.

    try restarting in safe mode and then uninstalling it

    What mp3 software is it? I have the Creative software that comes with the Zen and it can uninstall from Add/Remove programs.

    its the regular software for the 6gb zen.
    i think theres a corrupt file or something cause it wont allow me to uninstall it, theres also no option to uninstall on the installation cd.

    In that case, run the installer again to fix the brokeness, and then uninstall.

    i did this already, when i go to uninstall the program i get a windows warning message saying setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

    Look in the program directory for an uninstall file as the link might be broken, otherwise you will have to delete the files manually and then delete the registry entries.
