Ok. My girlfriend wants to raise money for charity again. We need ideas. I want to help her this time. I was thinking of going ab sailing down Ballymun Towers or sometin like that. Is that oppertunity gone? If anyone has any ideas in general, plaese post them. I think she is doing it for Crumlin hospital. She just told me she wants to do something on the ground?

What is silver circle? I don't think a raffle would work as we would have to get prizes and that.

In total there are four of us. Servant for a day could be an option.

Back in the dark days when people couldn't sell their houses and others couldn't afford to buy them, they used to raffle them off. Most people I know would blow €5-10 on a raffle ticket to win a house. I'm ****e at maths so can't really work out how many you'd need to sell to cover the owner's asking price plus costs plus a tidy profit for charity to make it worthwhile. It's an idea at any rate.

Sounds good, would need more than four of you for that to go well.

How about doing a sponsored run or something?

Have a race night/auction or something in a pub, charge a fee at the door.Tell anybody that will listen that there will be a free bar on till 9pm,buy yourself a big box of Mars bars and put them in the corner. When people ask about the free bar send them to the corner for there free mars bar.

You should now have a bar full of people early and should be able to sell loads of stuff. If anybody complains tell them that binge drinking is SO 90s.

Just did an absiel down the europa hotel in belfast today. Its great craic , if you organise it properly you'll get loads of support. We manage to raise over £5,000 today from it.

Also 5 a side football or dodgeball tournaments are really good at getting the cash in.

Dodgeball sounds fun, you could organise teams and all you'd need would be a local hall, small fee to sign up and sponsorship on top of it and you could be onto a winner, especially after the movie. Great idea!

    Just remember the 4 Ds

"If you can dodge a spanner you can dodge a dodgeball."

There are some good ideas there. We are going to make out a list of them and see which ones we are going to do. But keep going with the ideas.

Chugging sounds best. I'm gessing you're doing your JC from your posts in the JC boards and people can't refuse 15 year-olds jumping them on Grafton Street.
