clicking anywhere on the site brings you into a forum that hasnt been moderated in a few years. Its all mad speak about mad companies, travellers (dont think they're talking about our kind) and stuff like that. have a read of it..

Where's the conspiracy involved in scavenging car parts for resale? It's quite common over here, it's cheaper to buy a part taken from a scrapped old junker than to go to the dealer and buy a new one.

    NTM

the website front isnt legit. Did you actually click into the forum? (PS its not a virus, scary site that pops up after 30 seconds or a lame attempt by me to advertise anything!)

Yeah, is kinda random tbh. I wouldn't worry about it tho.
How did you come across it?

I had a temp working in my office for a few weeks but had to get rid of him cos he was VERY odd. After he left I was checking out what kinda stuff he was lookin at on the web. Some mad christian stuff, websites for odd american companies and the autoparts one. I lock me doors n windows since he left!!

just did a bit of research - apparently its part of some game for this upcoming book: http://www.randomhouse.com/features/traveler/

spooky the way an earlier poster described the website as a bit 'random'. Hmm ... and random house publish the book - very very strange!!

Very odd. It links to another site after someone asks for help in finding someone to teach him martial arts. The martial arts site is like the autoparts one, click anywhere and it has these articles that have nothing to do with martial arts. Another link leads to a Christian website that I didn't check out, could be the one the OP was talking about.

yep, all three are linked to the book. just logged into the randomhouse link i already posted. very strange (i'm using that a lot on this thread!). something about an aerlingus flight and an Irish spy!

Some more forum trawling indicates that the author set up the website, and it's all a bit of RP fun.

rite we're onto someone, the book seemingly has been out a while, "the traveller" and is written by someone called john twelve hawkes!

Get this, its not his real name and he claims that he dreams about the characters. he reckons its all real!!

    JTH is his pseudonym.
