Hi folks

I am using imagemixer to take some camcorder film and edit it / overlay it with music. However Imagemixer saves the new file as a .pme file which means that it will only play on Imagemixer. Is there a way to convert .pme files to mpeg or avi, or is there a better piece of software for copying from a camcorder and editing the clip?

Is the .pme just the video container itself or does it contain more information like for instance you do have to save your project to a separate file.

It is Sony after all so they would make life difficult but you could try renaming the .pme to .mpg and see what happens when you try to play in WMP. It could be it is nothing more than a normal MPEG container which if so means WMP will play it fine.

There are loads of programs out there that will take the output from your camcorder and do all sorts of things to it too many to list, even the free in built Windows Movie maker should it. If your looking for something a bit more capable try Ulead Video Studio.

Cheers I hadnt thought about the inbuilt movie maker - I think that will do the trick for me
