Fυck 'em tbh. I'm tired of listening to how he's gonna win the next race. That's about 40 he should have won by now  Hope Barichello laps him tomorrow.

agreed, its bad enough to listen to cocky sportsmen when theyre actually WINNING at their game, nevermind under performers.

He suffers from classic brit syndrome. He was built up so much into something he's clearly not, a championship winning driver. Then it puts the person(or team...guess who im talking about;) ) under immense pressure and when they under perform their called rubbish. Problem with Button is hes actually started to believe the hype himself. Shame really because I think button is a talented driver who has the ability to win races. But hell never be the driving god the british media are making him out to be. Hes also had his fair share of bad luck this season and today was a right kick in the teeth.

I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for him.. He was kinda screwed by the random weigh in, I know the team are meant to be prepared for such things but it's still unfortunate. At the same time, the one lap he did set was slower than anyone else who set a lap other than the Aguris - even the Midlands were faster than him. Not exactly a performance to set the world on fire.

He's an ok driver, there's lots of drivers like himself, the two toyota drivers, Fisi, DC, they can all win races when everything goes their way, but they'll never be up there with the very top guys. ITV love to blame all his woes on Honda and all the bad luck he has never getting a good drive - they seem to forget he had is chance at Renault in 2001 and 2002 and never looked as good as his team-mates Trulli and Fisichella, Renault replaced him with Alonso and they haven't looked back since.

I suppose being Irish and listening to an English channel leads to our perspective on him. RTE's Jordan obsession was pretty bad, worse than ITV at the time, although ITV have really reached a new low this Season, they should rename it the Button Show. I wonder if other European countries give their own drivers the same sort of exposure. If we happened to get Austrian tv(random example) here would we be equally sick of Christian Klien?

If you think 'Button-mania' is bad, wait until Lewis Hamilton arrives...

He seems to actually be somewhat worthy of it at least.

They never seemed this bad with Mansell and Hill, maybe it was because they were actually letting their performances do the talking instead of baseless hype, or maybe the BBC were just a bit more even than ITV. Murray certainly never hid his affection for the British drivers but he was always willing to give the competition their fair share of praise too.
