My sister is looking for a full-time job before she goes back to college, she's been told that there's a full-time job in a Spar near where my brother works. Anyone know on average what Spar pay full time workers. I've looked on the FAS website where they usually advertise and it gives different (Spar)pay rates for different location.

Think twice before u go working for them, they pay little above minimum wage and it's a pain in the neck. My girlfriend used to work for Centra, that's same as Spar, and for Spar itself as a temp job. Early hours, poor money, little fun...

In all honesty, you can't really compare Spar and Centra, yes, they're both convience(sp?) stores, but thats probably all they have in common. A friend of mine had a part time job in a Spar shop and loved it. It depends on whether you like the type of work or not.

So it would be minimum wage then. I think the job she was going for is a night time one. would that pay anymore?

Very doubtful, unlikely they'll go much above minimum wage.

Spar shops are fairly independent franchises though, no two stores will have exactly the same policy as eachother so these are questions you'd really need to take to the individual shop.

I found this, it's the JLC pay rates but I'm not really sure were she fits in, she's 20 but the only jobs she's had have been short term. Who qualifies as an experieinced worker? Would it be someone who's been in the same job for a certain period of time or someone who's just been working (in one job or another) for a certain period of time.

All those stores are franchise i believe.

So you cant say for suse what they are like, cause one francisee could be sound and another a nightmare to work for.

I think it s probably a case of nothing ventured nothingt gained.
Give it a lash , and see does he like it!
