As far as I can remember they're private. Looked at joining back in January, but thought they were very expensive - and the gym isn't really that well equipped imo...

Eh? Are you serious, Irish Wolf?

    The showers are communal.
Its very reasonably priced (45 a month is a bargain compared to some places)
And its the best equipped gym in Limerick.

 I must have still been high from the Mammy's Christmas pudding at the time.

Might give it another look when I get back - apologies to the OP.

Are you a man or a woman? Being serious. The mens in JJB Dundalk have 4 cubicles and 5 showers that are 'exposed'. The ladies have 9 cubicles and in the ladies changing room they have changing cabins so they can change without anyone seeing anything.

From what I know most jjb's are the same.

Surely you can see the shower area before you join?

Not in Limerick, Guv. I can't vouch for the womens shower area, but the mens is a single 3 sided room with 4-6 shower units per wall and no partitions/cubicles.

OP, the gym will be happy to give you a tour of the facilities (including the shower area).

No-one gives a rats ass how big (or small :)) you are. If that was the case, gyms would only have 6-packed ripped posers (no offense intended to 6-packed ripped posers on this forum!).

Go for a tour, join up, start the work, and get the results.

You may not be fat, but it sounds like you are insecure about your body. Don't worry about it - nobody will be 'perving'!

In fairness dude, you most likely pass enough dudes that would check you out walking down Cruises Street or in Icon on a Saturday night. :D

Exactly, Dragan. I'd even change that to - you most likely pass more dudes that would check you out walking down Cruises Street or in Icon on a Saturday night.

I didnt realise JJB gyms were over in Ireland yet. I went for an interview for a job in one in Scotland and she said they were only looking into coming to Ireland.

Are there any planned for Dublin does anyone know??
