Apartment block on fire.

An apartment block in shannon just went on fire. I can see it and i'm 2km away. It's the apartments beside the shannon development building. It's insane!

No not those ones, the ones just beside the town centre. The fire brigade just arrived now I'm told. I'm sure the news knows nothing about it yet.

This is intense, the entire sky is black with smoke. I'm sure some planes are going to have to be diverted until it's put out, there's no way they could land with this smoke. It's being blown in the airport's direction too.

Here's a pic, it's not as bad as this now. My mate is there taking pics with his camera phone, I'll try to get them online later on. Apparently an oil tank on the roof caught fire somehow.

No idea. My mate said it's just about out now. There were gas tanks exploding on the roof too. I should have gotten off me arse and went to see it!

Hmm seems to be a day for fires...was just sitting here and got a really bad whiff of smoke. I've a few windows open, so it came in. I looked out towards the Luas depot from the back of the house and under all the lights all I can see is smoke and there's a loadda sirens blaring. Can't see any flames though so it must be a good bit away..
